This room was to be the retreat for parents when they come to stay. I wanted to create a serene space to rest and relax. As the smallest of the three spaces I wanted to find ways to make it appear larger than it is. One way to instantly make the ceiling feel higher is to add board and batten panelling. These DIY clients installed this themselves and seriously nailed it - pun intended ;)

It was then painted in this beautiful deep green (Resene Palm Green) to reflect the bush that the property is surrounded by bringing the outside in. We really embraced the natural vibe for this renovation, keep fixtures in timber with a boho vibe for a really relaxed feel.

Sheer curtains give privacy from the driveway while still letting in plenty of light. Fabrics were kept natural and neutral for a softness and to create warmth through differing textures.
