Layout Design
Does your home work for you? Long before you start looking at colours, finishes, and all of the other pretty things, this is the most important question to ask yourself when tackling a renovation. How your home functions is the key to ensuring the daily life of you and your family flows smoothly. Which doors do you use most? Which areas need opening up and which need closing off? Can you fit that extra bathroom or media space?
It can be incredibly hard to visualize how your home will look and feel while you’re standing in it. Having Candace put your home into the computer to recreate your layout allows you to explore all of the possible options long before demo day. Angles on angles in the Waikato
I love a challenge and this layout redesign certainly was that. But the end result was a home that will suit the needs of this growing family for years to come. Making sure I understood them and their needs was key to success, as it is in every design. I pride myself on making your home best suit your needs and tick your boxes. In this case that was an office to work from home, a kids bedroom, a master with walk in wardrobe and ensuite. Plus open plan living compared to these closed off spaces with the best location for the kitchen as well as getting them access to the back yard from the laundry in the garage and a landing spot for dumping jackets and bags when arriving home. I was even able to get them a small media room to provide separation from kids and adult when needed!
