Step 1. Find something to paint. Shop your own home like I did with this old purple vase below. Or go opshopping and find some cheap treasures to transform.
2. Get some test pots, if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know I’m a big fan of The Natural Paint Co.
3. Add baking powder to your paint. I literally never measure this! Just stir some through, wait for it to react and give it a go. If you want it more heavily textured add more. You can always do a second coat to really bump it up, but paint it on quite thick.
I only did one coat on the vase above and love the way some of the air bubbles popped to created this beautiful texture.
4. Mix it up! Play around with colours, earthy tones look great when painted like this. Distressing certain pieces can also look great depending on your aesthetic.
